Food System4 Corrections' costing module enables you to review meal cost even while developing the menu. If the cost of an item is out of line, you simply open a window to find a replacement item and substitute it online. The costing module will instantly re-cost the menu with the new item inserted. Average savings of 5 to 12 percent can readily be attained using this one module.
You can ensure that you will have an accurate food budget by using the Food System4 Corrections Forecast module to predict your grocery needs. Whether you are attempting to address your needs for a week, a quarter, semi-annually or annually, Food System4 Corrections provides an easy to use and precise method to calculate your menu requirements. Simply create a cycle menu, add your inmate counts and let Food System4 Corrections utilize the Recipe and Inventory files to create a grocery order showing the needed buy units and cost for any budgetary period.
Storeroom pulls and vendor invoices enable correctional facilities to maintain minimal perpetual inventories. FIFO (first in, first out) and LIFO (last in, first out) reports show at a glance the cost of maintaining the inventory and highlight those items that cost too much.
If you face a legal challenge over the nutritional content of your menu, documentation is just a mouse click away. Unisoft has developed a menu nutrient analysis report which examines the food items on the menu and creates an accurate nutrient analysis. You can request a Menu Analysis report by meal, day, week or cycle. For those of you who currently have to pay to get your menus analyzed, this money remains in your pocket.
Food System4 contains many other features that can turn into benefits for your institution. Included among these are Armed Forces recipes and complete management reporting. Tray cards and Nourishment functions are available for medical facilities.
